Robin
Good day, fair citizens of Andalusst, visitors, and all the rest of you as well. For those who haven’t met me before, I am Robin, Chief of Operations within the Andalusst Hunters Guild, and I’m thrilled to return from my expedition to find so many eager new souls have joined our ranks and the ranks of our allied guilds.

That said, a lot has happened in my absence, it seems. Our beloved guardian statue awakening in a violent rage and causing unaccounted amounts of damage, an envoy from Iapon turning out to be a spy, now loose in the city with their comrades... It’s truly pleasing to see just how well everybody is taking it!

There is nothing to fear, and things are well within our control, but in typical Hunter tradition, I’ll step down for now and allow the proxy to speak for our Guild Leader. You’re up, Sundance.

Sundance
Thanks, Robin! Ehem... Okay, so... We at the Hunters Guild feel it’s important to give a bit of context on what’s been going on, so here goes. You’re probably all aware by now that the Great Statue is a Pokemon, and it’s pretty special. I’ll let the Researchers talk about that more, but basically, we invited the Iaponese embassy to come and take a look at our finding. Iapon has always been in good relations with Andalusst, but since they have to come through the Mountain Dungeon to get here, it’s not exactly easy to keep the trade route open, so contact like this doesn’t happen as often as we’d like.

Unfortunately, the Ambassador some of you entertained turned out to be a fake, working for some kind of opposing party. We have the real Ambassador with us now, but those spies are still on the loose in our city... Sigh, and I thought that little Riolu seemed nice, too. Anyway, the ceremony is on hold until the Ambassador is safe.

Robin
Though this is usually something the Hunters would take responsibility for, I would like to extend an invitation to all other citizens for assistance in this matter, regardless of their guild allegiance. History has proven that we are strongest when we stand together.

Now, for those of you who have never participated in guild-issue tasks before, a reminder that you are representatives of your allied guild, and while you have freedom in how you complete these objectives, taking actions against your guild code of ethics may have consequences in the long term... and of course, the same could be said about upholding them. A pitch darkness, or a brilliant light...? Either one obscures the way forward. Whatever you choose, always remember that your path is worth walking. You’re up next, Don.

MAIN TASK

All guilds welcome to participate.

Donovan
Let’s get this over with quickly since I don’t have all day to stand up here flappin' my jaws and neither do you lot, I’d assume. I’m Donovan, Andalusst's prison warden. We got three targets on the run here, stealthy types good at hidin’ amongst the common folk. I’m declaring a neighbourhood watch, but it might take a bit more of a coordinated effort to drag these guys out of their hidey holes. You bring in these spooks, we’ll put ‘em behind bars and make ‘em talk... I've been right bored lately anyway.

Our guest, the Iaponese Ambassador, has given us information on the three ninja renegades based on what she remembers from their attack earlier, so pay attention. Your team gets to pick one target and assist any way you’re able. There’s a chance you might be in danger if you get into a direct confrontation, since these are trained espionage agents and they aren't gonna pull punches when cornered, but you can always call on the assistance of a Guild Leader or member of the Royal Guard if you find any leads. So our lineup is as follows:

Agent 1: A Sceptile last seen masquerading as the ambassador. Kinda sleek, sorta athletic-like. He’s missing a tail and should have a bruise on his cheek. We ain't got a whole lot of Sceptiles in the city, so he should be easy to pick out in a crowd, but watch it - this one’s quick to get into fights, and he’s probably the most dangerous of the three. He’s been observed utilizing the Substitute technique and attackin' with berries, so keep an eye out for fruit vendors where he might be stockin’ up on ammunition.

Pokemon with a Strength stat of 4 should be on even grounds with this target, through a head-on approach may not be ideal due to the nature of his fighting style. For that purpose, partnering with someone who has at least 3 Intelligence is highly recommended. A MERIT will be rewarded to teams who can find some way to draw him away from crowded places before going in for the catch, but you’ll get a STRIKE if you engage in a head on brawl in a public area. Don’t want to endanger any civilians! Sceptile's moveset: Unburden - Natural Gift, Substitute, Giga Drain, Endeavor.

Agent 2: Not much is known about this Greninja, and he’s barely been sighted since the incidents began. Doesn't look like much of a combatant, but considering how well he’s been able to avoid notice this long, I’d say he’s a lot better at covering his tracks than his Sceptile buddy. The Greninja population here’s pretty sparse as well, so that’s a plus. We didn't get a clear look at his face either, so there ain't much to go on other than he’s pretending’ to be a tourist and wears some kinda hood.

An Intelligence stat of 4 and a Charisma stat of 3 is recommended when tracking this target. Direct confrontation is unlikely, but one should still be on their guard. Convince him to come peacefully and you’ll get a MERIT from your guild, but you won’t be penalized for a direct confrontation. Greninja's moveset: Protean - Mat Block, Dig, Toxic Spikes, Haze.

Agent 3: A young Riolu previously thought to be the Ambassador’s assistant. This one’s actually had contact with a fair few of us, so we've got plenty to go on. Kinda short ears, nervous disposition, thick Iaponese accent and clearly not the brightest chargestone in the packet. Problem is, we've got a LOT of Riolus runnin’ around Andalusst and besides that, the kid doesn’t have a lot of definin’ features at a distance. If you can find him, bringin’ him in should be easy, but findin’ him’s gonna be a pain. Don't get too careless though, I heard these Ninja like to use tools to aid in their trickery, so expect hidden weapons on top of the usual fighting-type attacks.

A Charisma stat of 2 and a Strength stat of  3 should allow for an easy capture or coercion. If you can find some way to get him to expose himself,  he should pose little threat. It’s Sundance’s personal request that he’s to be brought in unharmed. You’ll get a STRIKE if you choose to attack him and beat him into submission, you jerk. Riolu's moveset: Prankster - Fling, Hidden Power (Fire), Copycat, High Jump Kick.

REWARDS

Choose one of the following:

Evolution Slip

When a Pokemon evolves under service of a guild, standard protocol dictates that they sign one of these forms, for record-keeping purposes. This helps the guild keep track of who's who and arrange the appropriate honors. You may evolve one of your Pokemon at any time.
Accessory Customization Service Voucher

Two free, one-time use tickets for Chantelle's Accessory Customization Service. If you didn't get these from Mission 1, and really want to customize your gear for free, now's your chance!
Hand-Made Kunai

A Iapon-style farming tool turned throwing dagger. Sturdy, but crafted from shoddy materials. It has a certain charm to it though, as if it was made with much love, and allows the use of Fling and Recycle.

Robin
As stated before, this task is open for all guilds. We have the Explorer and Researcher Guilds blessings respectively. It is strongly advised to work together to accomplish these duties. But please, be careful. I would hate to see any of you brave souls harmed.

Now, with that out of the way, you should contact your Guild Leaders for guild-specific objectives.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

The due date for everything here is July 1st. Rewards for these prompts may be claimed and equipped AS they are completed. Please register on the Andalusst Atlas in order to access your team's storage, which will come in handy when obtaining new rewards.

The Andalusst Atlas is a PMDU add-on for DA, allowing members to register your team and update your stats in real time, while allowing us to more efficiently organize group data. We strongly implore that all members register and use the Atlas from this point forward, as it will open up exciting new directions for PMDU. *PLEASE SEE THE GENERAL TASKS JOURNAL FOR MORE INFORMATION. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS WITHOUT READING IT FIRST.*

Please follow the prompts and submit your entries to the appropriate folder. Don't forget to link your team's application in the deviation comment.

Any item rewards you take into a task need to be equipped into one of the three inventory slots associated with the appropriate team member on your team's application order to be brought into a Task.

This time around, stats do not dictate whether or not you are able to complete a task. They're simply there to give you an idea of what's required to perform certain actions within a task, or how easy your characters might be able to overcome certain challenges. If you don't have the required stats, it doesn't mean you can't complete the task, just that you probably will have to think up a different solution.

These Tasks introduce the first look into the Merit/Strike system. These points represent your teams reputation within their guild. Merits indicate members who uphold their Guild's ideals strongly, whereas Strikes indicate a more rebellious or carefree approach to solving problems. Strikes/Merits reset each season, and will affect the options available to your team as the story progresses. Go for whatever style you feel suits your team!

I'm guessing this is over. When will the new Task/Event/Mission/whatever come out so I can start drawing my team?
